I'm trying to research this stuff for my mother. I know that my great grandmother comes from the wilson family. Her parents names were William Wister (or Wistar) Wilson and her mothers name was Sarah Catherine Jordan . My great grand mother Mary Catherine Wilson was born july 3, 1900.I have heard stories of the family owning a plantation and am getting no luck searching it. I also have read letter that come from a Eva M. Bowlan (which were written to my grandfather and always signed Aunt Eva) Other letter came from Inez Wilson. Inez speaks about building a 17 room house in Williamston i believe. I have google searched the other address i have one for Eva Bowlan which was 726 e Calhoun st Anderson , SC 29628 ... but the house that is located there looks newer..... ther other address is 101 Virginia Circle also in Anderson SC.... (this was for a man named Claude ) and that give me the middle of the street. just trying to find out some family history and such any help would would be great Thanks

I can trace my branch from California, thru Alabama, to ggg-grandfather (Robert Thomas Bowlan) born in Anderson, CS, in 1782. Can anyone identify his parents? His wife was Mary Nelson, born in Abbieville, SC, in 1785 to William Nelson and Caroline Gains Bowlan.
