She was a country doctor. Tate, who is found in the 1880 census living with her mother Elizabeth Tate in Oconee County, Tugaloo District. John's siblings were/are Alice, Dot, Ruth, Sarah, "Waterboy" and others but names unknown. John was from a large family- 21 siblings. Cousins were the Hamptons, Link and Perry and others but names unknown. John left Great Falls, Chester County, South Carolina after the death of his sister Sarah. Sarah's death was related to a fire in the home. Sarah was intellectually disabled and was dependent on John and his wife Annabel until her untimely death. I have heard of a family camp being held by members of my dad's family in August. If anyone has any information it would be appreciated.
