Jacob K. Moultrie and Hagar Ann Manigault were my paternal G-G-Grandparents. Jacob was born around 1842 in S.C. He met and married Hagar Ann Manigault and bore 4 children. They are listed in the 1880 census as living in St. Andrews ( Parish)Township Charleston S.C. They had more children after 1880 which include my great-grandmother Emma Moultrie.

Nelly
Rosa
Caroline
Jacob Jr.

Jacob K. Moultrie is also the brother of Rev. Ishmael Moultrie. They may have been twins or born at least 11 months apart. Record shows that both were born approx. 1842.

I had the pleasure of meeting online, decendants of Jacob Jr. I would like to find the decendants of Nelly Rosa Caroline and other children of Jacob and Hagar Ann.

In addition, I found some Manigaults in the 1880 census that maybe related to Hagar Ann.

Oh, by the way, St. Andrews still exists as a neighborhood in the West Ashley area West Ashley/St. Andrews at Google Maps

I've added the forum for St. Andrews as a "child" forum of the Charleston forum. (Maybe that will make keeping things organized by county a bit easier as the forums start to grow.)

Thanks again,

Avery

Ah, I see what you mean now. I'll add that in a bit later tonight. I may put St. Andrews township on my list of items to look at researching and try to add a bit more information on.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Avery

Hi Avery,

Under Forums/Main Theme. I don't know if this town is still in existance, however, many of my ancestors where living there according to the 1880 Census.

St. Andrews Township, Charleston S.C.

BTW, this is a wonderful website.

Thanks
Yvette

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not quite sure where you want me to add St Andrews Township to though. Do you mean here in the forum? Or on the Charleston County Page Charleston County, SC ? Or in the directory?

Thanks,

Avery
