I am trying to determine the identity of my third great grandfather on my Mother’s side. I have sources which show both John Little (23 Feb 1806 to 11 Jan 1844) and David Little, Jr. ( 25 Sep 1802 to 1852) as husband to Sara Wolf Little (06 Jan 1812 to 08 Jul 1871). Both John and David, Jr. were sons of David Little, Sr. (11 Nov 1767 to 17 Nov 1812) and Charity Adair (01 Jul 1773 to 06 Nov 1826). Father, mother, both sons and wife Sara Wolf Little are supposedly buried in Duncan Creek Church Cemetery, Laurens, SC. Sara’s grave marker supposedly reads “W/O David Little” which would suggest that the trees showing John as the husband are in error. However, another possibility is that Sara first married John and then later married David, Jr. after John’s death in 1844. I would appreciate any help in resolving these inconsistencies.

I think these Millers may be mine. At least some of them moved to the SC low-country by 1850. Can anyone help? I have not researched in Laurens Co before so know nothing of available records there. I am limited to mainly researching on the internet since I live in Australia. Thank you! Charlie
