My maternal grandmother was Daisy Bunton Benton daughter of Andrew Bunton and Minnie Skilling Bunton. I have not been able to find confirmation of the existence of Minnie thru any records. She died when Daisy and her sister Eula were toddlers. Andrew later married Mary Etta Benton and she is often listed as their mother. I have been told that Andrew's brother married the sister of Minnie and Minnie's parents were Ed Skilling and Mary Shepherd. I have not been able to validate their existence either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Linda

I am looking for information regarding my Benton family tree. My maternal grandfather was Thomas Whaley Benton. His father was Simeon Benton and his mother was Elizabeth Proveaux. That is all I know for sure. I have been told that Simeon's father was Archibald and that Archibald's father was Job, but I can't seem to find confirmation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.
Linda

Abraham Walker and wife Sarah are listed in the the 1860 census at St. Bartholmew's Parish, Walterborough P.O., Colleton District, SC. In the 1870 census and after they were in Midway, Barnwell County. They are my great great grandparents. They were each born within a few years of 1810 in South Carolina. Their parents were also born in South Carolina. I would like to learn the ancestry back further.
